Shamalov tops Forbes’s rating of ’18 highest earning Russian tycoons

MOSCOW, Mar 23 (PRIME) -- Kirill Shamalov with an income of U.S. $2.3 billion from dividends and the sale of a Sibur stake led the rating of Russia’s highest earning businessmen in 2018 compiled by Forbes, the magazine said in a report on Friday.

The rating assesses only the dividend and share sales income from February 18, 2017 till February 9, 2018, which is calculated before taxes, loan servicing and art sales commissions.

Alexei Mordashov ranked second with a $1.56 billion income from a Severstal stake sale and Nordgold dividends. Vladimir Lisin was third with a $1.23 billion income from dividends of Novolipetsk Steel (NLMK). Suleiman Kerimov was fourth with $980 million and Mikhail Prokhorov fifth with a $870 million income.
